Louis Katsinas’ practice focuses predominantly in Family Law, Criminal and Commercial Law.
Louis was called to the Bar in 1997. He has developed a broad practice appearing in many jurisdictions.
He has extensive experience in the Family Law jurisdiction appearing in parenting proceedings, maintenance and child support, relocation, complex financial/property matters, de facto law and annulment of a marriage under the Marriage Act 1961 on various basis including that a party did not understand the nature and effect of the wedding ceremony.
Louis is an accredited Mediator of Family Disputes. Louis believes that Family Disputes can be resolved out of Court and is the best pathway forward for all involved, including children. His positive approach along with decades of experience and knowledge of Family Law can assist parties in resolving their dispute in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Louis also recognises that there is no one definition of family and utilises a unique approach as a Mediator in ensuring any unique circumstances are well-addressed.
Louis’ criminal practice is varied appearing in the Local Court, District Court and Supreme Court of NSW in trials, sentences, bail applications and other applications.
He also has extensive experience in various commercial/insolvency disputes including setting aside statutory demands and bankruptcy notices.
